At Messinia Yachts, we aim to keep the booking process simple, transparent, and secure, so you can focus on enjoying your time on the water.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from our team.
We operate on a first-confirmed basis, and availability is not guaranteed until payment is received.
2. Payment Terms
Our standard payment structure is:
Weekly or Multi-Day Trips
- 50% Deposit – required to confirm the booking, within a 5-day option period
- 50% Balance – due 30 days prior to embarkation
For last-minute bookings, full payment may be required at the time of confirmation.
Day Trips - Private
- 50% Deposit – due upon booking confirmation
- 50% Balance – due 5 days prior to embarkation
If the reservation is made within 5 days before the departure day, full payment is required.
Day Trips - Shared
Full payment in advance upon booking confirmation.

Full payment instructions will be provided with your booking confirmation and invoice.
4. Bank Charges
Any bank fees, intermediary charges, or currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the client. We strongly recommend SEPA transfers for smooth and cost-efficient payments within Europe.
5. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans may change. Our cancellation terms are as follows:
Weekly Trips - Bare Boats
- More than 30 days before embarkation: partial refund, less administrative costs
- 25–30 days before embarkation: 50% of total charter fee retained
- Less than 15 days before embarkation: 100% cancellation fee applies
No refunds are issued for no-shows or early termination of the charter.
Day Trips - Private
- More than 10 days before embarkation: full refund, less an administrative (dossier) cost of €100
- 2–10 days before embarkation: 30% of total charter fee retained. Client reserves the right to reschedule, only once, on a future date subject to availability and weather conditions
- Less than 48 hours before embarkation: 0% refund. Client reserves the right to reschedule, only once, on a future date subject to availability
Shared Day Trips - Flexible Cancellation
Optional add-on - extra cost of €15 per passenger, selectable after choosing the trip date.
- Cancellations 48 hours or more before departure: fully refundable
- Option to change the date up to two times during the same season
- Cancellations within 48 hours before departure: 0% refund
6. Changes to Booking
Date or itinerary changes may be possible depending on availability. Any amendments may be subject to adjustment of pricing or operational costs. We always do our best to accommodate flexible planning where possible.
7. Weather & Safety
Your safety is our priority. All charters are subject to weather and sea conditions as determined by the captain and local port authorities. In case of cancellation due to unsafe conditions, we will offer rescheduling options where feasible.
The itinerary is not binding and may be modified before or during the charter subject to prevailing weather and sea conditions, at the discretion of the Captain and always considering safety first. The company reserves the right to change or modify the proposed route depending on the weather conditions.
8. Secure Payments
All payments are handled through verified banking channels or secure payment providers. Messinia Yachts does not store sensitive card data. Each charter is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Discussions with regards to options are to be handled a week prior to the charter commencement.
